·      Gambia bans child marriage with 20 year jail terms as country tries to tackle practice that sees a third of women married before they are 18

·      President Yahya Jammeh warned the legislation could spark a backlash
·      Husbands and parents of any girl who gets married will face 20 years in jail
·      Anyone aware of a child marriage and doesn't report it could face 10 years
·      Nearly a tenth of women in Gambia were married before they turned 15
