Uganda: Rigged general elections
Knowing the problems of technology in Africa, it is strange that Uganda is one of the few countries which did not experience any problem with using technology to count the votes. All casted votes and the winner of Uganda's general elections were announced in less than 24 hours. As the casted votes were transmitted electronically, it will be difficult to verify that the votes transmitted electronically are the true votes for each candidate. This is why there is no doubt that the results were rigged.
But we also know that in terms of freedom and progressive thinking, Ugandan people are behind other people in Africa and the world.
