[RwandaLibre] Re: Tanzania: "Common Tourist Visa is a security risk!"

"In this world of terror, we cannot hasten the issuing of the single
tourism visa as some bad people could use it as a loophole to conduct
terrorist activities in the region under the guise of tourism,"

Darfouriens...

Tanzania has more, if not as much tourist attractions. In terms of
area, it is bigger than Kenya and Uganda combined. In the long run,
Kenya and Uganda and Rwanda are using "fast tracking" to shield
themselves against democratic scrutiny: leaders under ICC leash or to
be indicted; election rigging, embezzlement of foreign aid funds, etc.
Rwanda and Uganda in particular may experience a period of violence,
fuelled by growing resentment and uncertain political prospects, come
2015/2017.The idea of a leveled starting ground is not really as bad
as the three would want it to be called!

KENYA, UGANDA, RWANDA TOURIST VISA REGULATIONS
No security risk for common East African Tourist Visa

BY PROF. DR. WOLFGANG H. THOME, ETN AFRICA CORRESPONDENT | MAY 24, 2014
Impeccable sources from across the three East African countries of
Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya have confirmed that there is growing anger
among the three over continued suggestions by Tanzania, that the
recently launched common tourist Visa, which allows foreign visitors
to enter all three countries on one cost reduced Visa, is a security
risk.

While understandably none of the officials was ready to go on record
they left no doubt either that their 'bosses' were fed up with the
rumour mongering by Tanzanian officials with one specifically stating:
'Let them stay out of the fast tracking union which Uganda, Rwanda and
Kenya have formed to advance several key issues which were not going
forward because one member country constantly slammed on the brakes.
Let them stay out of the common Visa but at least honestly admit it is
for their own political reasons. But let them also stop to give
rubbish reasons like security risks. The three countries which have
embraced

Wednesday's supreme court case was quickly adjourned after the lawyer for the Democratic Green Party failed to appear. One party official told Reuters lawyers had been fearful about taking on the case.  The court panel of nine judges led by Chief Justice Sam Rugege adjourned and set the next hearing for July 29. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN0PI11X20150708?irpc=932 Email Facebook Twitter By Clement Uwiringiyimana KIGALI (Reuters) - Rwanda's main opposition party opened a case in the Supreme Court on Wednesday seeking to prevent constitutional change that would allow President Paul Kagame to run for a third term seven-year in office. The debate about term limits and challenges to veteran leaders has flared in several places in Africa. The United States and other Western nations have been pressing African leaders to stick to constitutional rules on presidential terms. Wednesday's supreme court case was quickly adjourned...
